Financial Policies

We pride ourselves on quality care at a reasonable price and work to make sure all patients get the care they need.  We offer flexible payment plans and are are in-network with a large number of insurance carriers.  Please read all options below to learn more about our different financial policies and payment options.

Self Pay or Uninsured Patients

For our patients without insurance, we offer a discount per service when payment is made by Cash, Check or Credit Card at the time of service.

Commercial Insurance Patients / Medicaid

When possible we will verify your benefits and eligibility on your behalf, however, the benefits quoted to us by your insurance carrier are not a guarantee of eligibility or payment.  As a courtesy to you, we will file all necessary form with your insurance company.  It is to be understood and agreed that any and all services rendered are charged to you directly and you are personally responsible for payment of any deductibles, copays or non-covered services.  We will also offer a discount per service to insurance patients who pay the full bill at the time of service for each visit and then submit the required paperwork to their insurance company.

Medicare

The only service that Medicare currently covers is manual manipulation of the spine in any chiropractic office.  Medicare covers 80% of the allowable fee after the deductible has been met by the patient.  Any and all other services including exams, x-rays and therapies are not covered.  All additional services will be the responsibility of the patient or supplemental insurance if covered.  We do offer a discount per service for all uncovered services if paid at the time of service.

Worker’s Compensation

If you are injured on the job, your care should be paid for under your Worker’s Compensation insurance.  You will need to inform your employer of the accident and obtain the name and address of your employer’s insurance carrier.  If you or your employer does not provide us with this information, if a settlement has not been made within three months, or if you suspend or terminate care, any fees for services are due immediately.

Personal Injury or Automobile Accidents

Please present your auto insurance card, health insurance card, name and number of your attorney and if possible a police report or description of the accident.  We will file in accordance with Iowa law first to Med Pay, then your individual health insurance and then to any third party insurance.  We will file on behalf of the patient and deal directly with your insurance carriers and attorney.

Flex Plans/ Health Savings/ Health Reimbursement Accounts

Please inform us if you have one of these types of plans to help with the cost of care.  We will be happy to provide you with a statement of your charges for reimbursement.

No matter what your financial or insurance situation our number one goal is to get you the care you need when you need it.  We realize that it can be difficult to budget for unexpected health care costs and we offer flexible payment options for all our patients.  Please inquire at the front desk for further details.
